Ingleside Rotary Club invited all to their Paul Harris Christmas Party on Dec 17 at the Ingleside Municipal Airport. By all accounts it was a success. They are even looking to continue and expand for next year.

Nine people were honored recently with the Paul Harris Fellow award, presented by The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.
 
About 50 Rotary members, family, and friends gathered Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, at the Third Coast Squadron-Commemorative Air Force Museum to celebrate the recipients.
 
 
Honorees included first-time recipients
  • James Hollan, Aransas Pass Rotary Club,
  • Orfa Gomez, Aransas Pass Rotary Club, 
  • Matt Sablature, Ingleside Rotary Club,
  • Jim Gray, Ingleside Rotary Club,
  • Ingleside police chief Stan Bynum and
  • former Ingleside Mayor Peter Perkins.
Those receiving their second Paul Harris Fellow Award included
  • Robert Perry, Ingleside Rotary Club, and
  • Kevin Schleicher, Ingleside Rotary Club.
A posthumous award was given to Tommie Adame, recent president of the Ingleside Rotary Club, which was accepted by his wife and daughter.
 
“Rotarians often designate a Paul Harris Fellow as a tribute to a person whose life demonstrates or demonstrated a shared purpose with the objectives of the Rotary Foundation,” said Rotary District 5930 Governor Deborah High. “The generous contributions to The Rotary Foundation are essential to securing and growing Rotary programs throughout the world.”
