Greg Perkes, Justice on the 13th Court of Appeals, received the Cameron County Bar Association?s (CCBA) 2016 Outstanding Service Award at their annual gala in Brownsville on April 30. In addition, Perkes recently received a Certificate of Completion from the National Judicial College (NJC) for its Advanced Skills for Appellate Judges course.

 

 

The CCBA Outstanding Service Award is given each year to a person who exemplifies service to others, service to their communities, service to the legal profession, and advancing the administration of justice.http://ccbatexas.blogspot.com/?m=0.

Twenty-three (23) judges from nine USA states and three countries attended the week-long continuing education program April 25-28 in California. Twelve of those, including Justice Perkes, received a scholarship to attend.
