December 2021

Greetings Fellow Rotarians
This year 2021 is nearly gone, and we have reached the midpoint of our Rotary year. This is the time to reflect on our accomplishments according to our goals we set for ourselves, and the progress we made towards them.
Here are some of our achievements to date:
  • I am happy to report that I have completed many of my District club visitations with only three clubs remaining. It was an aggressive plan, but one I genuinely enjoyed doing.
  • Our membership grew by sixty-one new members, and we are now 1,754 strong Rotarians and growing.
  • We had the most successful Polio Plus District Events supporting the END POLIO NOW campaign and we raised $20,000.00 Dollars with the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation match 2:1 will bring our total fundraising dollars to $60,000.00.
  • Our district grew by one club with the support of the Corpus Christi Evening Club sponsoring the Padre Island Satellite Rotary Club.
These are a few of our achievements through the first half our Rotary year. We have so much more to do, and I am confident we will achieve our District Action Plan goals.
I am a great believer in the importance of setting goals that are challenging, but realistic. A worthwhile goal should be within your reach but still require you to stretch your goal. Step outside your comfort zone to innovative ideas that helps you grow and do more. Remember, if it makes you feel uncomfortable, then you are growing.
