Rotary Adoption Awareness Picnic 2016
Dear Rotarians,
I want to personally say “Thank You” to all the Rotarians who supported this year’s Rotary Adoption Awareness Picnic last Saturday. Many of those attending agree this was possibly the best year yet!
The weather couldn’t have cooperated better, the site was fantastic as usual and student Rotary Clubs – Interact and Rotaract members were impressive handling the critical responsibility of mentoring the children in Foster care. Two added treats helping awe and entertain were Veterans’ Memorial High School athletes and nine members with companions of Paws Up Canine Therapy including Rotarian Steve Pituch.
Please share the following information with your club members.
- 48 Adoptable Children attending
- 12 Families attending with intentions to adopt children
- 9 “Interest forms” were completed on site by the families after watching the children run, play and interact with others. You provided this opportunity!
The Picnic Workers included:
Adult and Youth Rotary Club Members
- 23 Rotarians attending
- 8 Rotaract Students
- At least 77 Interact Students
