Greetings to all Rotarians in District 5930!

As everyone is well aware of, we are all going through a very stressful time.  We are literally in “uncharted waters”.  I am sure each of you are concerned for the health and well-being of your family members, just as I am.  So, we must take the necessary steps to protect ourselves, our loved ones and those around us.  Rotary International is recommending that we cancel or postpone our upcoming Rotary meetings.  Rotary is also asking that we continue to follow the guidelines set by the World Health Organization and your national, regional, or local health authorities.

So, with this in mind, I find it necessary to postpone our District Assembly that was scheduled for May 16, 2020.
As you know, District Assembly is a time where all Rotarians, especially the incoming Club Leaders, from around the District come together to learn more about their role in Club Leadership.  This training is essential for your Rotary Clubs to be Inspiring, Effective and Impactful.

As time passes and our situation improves, we will look at future dates to hold this important session.  But until then, I encourage all of the Club Leaders to visit Rotary “Learning Center” found at www.rotary.org.  There you will find training modules for each of the Club Leadership roles, like Club President, Secretary, Treasurer and committee chairs.  You can also work with your assigned Assistant Governor, who has been trained in each of these areas and will be valuable resource for you.

As your District Governor for 2020-2021, I am here to assist each of you and always available to “LEND A HELPING HAND”.  Feel free to reach out to me at any time.

Eddie Bartnesky
District Governor Elect
