Rotary Foundation Month:
Investing in a Better Tomorrow
Dear Fellow Rotarian,

The Rotary Foundation is often called "the Engine of Rotary," and for good reason. Every dollar contributed to the Foundation fuels life-changing projects worldwide and right here in South Texas. From providing clean water to underserved communities, to funding scholarships that shape future leaders, to supporting our historic mission to eradicate polio, the Foundation transforms our collective generosity into tangible, lasting impact. As members of District 5930, we have a unique opportunity this Rotary Foundation Month to strengthen that engine and ensure it continues to power the work we care so deeply about.

Our district stretches across a vibrant and diverse region, and we understand firsthand that meaningful change requires resources. When you give to The Rotary Foundation, you're not just writing a check—you're investing in global grants that return to benefit our own communities, district grants that support local projects, and humanitarian efforts that span continents. In fact, nearly half of every dollar donated comes back to our district in the form of grant funding. Your contribution multiplies, creating a ripple effect of good that begins in Corpus Christi, the Rio Grande Valley, and beyond, and extends to the farthest corners of the world.

This November, I'm asking every Rotarian in District 5930 to take one simple but powerful step: **commit to giving just $10 a month through Rotary Direct, the Foundation's automatic bank draft program.** That's less than the cost of two cups of coffee, yet over the course of a year, it adds up to $120—enough to earn you recognition as a Sustaining Member and put you on the path to becoming a Paul Harris Fellow. Better yet, automatic giving ensures consistent, reliable support for the causes we champion, without you having to think about it. Visit **rotary.org/donate**, select "Rotary Direct," and set up your recurring gift today. Together, one small commitment at a time, we can create the lasting impact our world so desperately needs. Let's make District 5930 a shining example of generosity in action!

Sincerely,

Jack Alspaugh

District Governor 2026-27
