From District Governor
This will be an exciting month!
Some President Elects have registered for the Lone Star President Elect Seminar others may still be waiting to do so. This is an event you will not want to miss!
The gathering of 10 Texas and Southern Oklahoma Rotary District Presidents attracts the very best of International and Local Rotary Leaders to help you prepare for your upcoming year. RI President Gordon! Richard King and other noteworthy Rotary Celebrities and Trainers!
Friday you will learn of your District Plans, Saturday you will share with Presidents of similar size clubs and diverse visions to learn from each other your best events and things to avoid.
You owe it to yourself and to your members to attend.
And check with your Assistant Governors - the District has planned ways to get you to LSPETS that will provide transportation to and from the event together. You will come back amazed, excited and have an opportunity to begin collaborating together- We Are Better Together!
OR you can choose to take a virtual training alone without the fellowship of the best in Rotary to inspire you- again you owe it to yourself and your Club to attend LSPETS- the largest and best training event anywhere for Presidents!

Also this month the Nominating Committee of D5930 made up of the current District Governor Chain and five Past District Governors, our district Advisory Committee, that will be interviewing at least 3 candidates as your District Governor for 2026-2027!
And plans for Club, Area, and The District 4-Way Test Speech are shaping up in your clubs.
Save the Date for our combined District Assembly and District Conference on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at the Omni Corpus Christi ( 900 North Shoreline Blvd). The morning will present the 4-Way Speech Contest, and breakout rooms for 2023-2024 meetings to prepare for incoming District Governor Luis Cavazos launch of his Action Plan and Vision. Be Prepared for a great New Year! And that evening the Awards Banquet of all Clubs will close out the last few months of 2022-2023.
At lunch, the District 4-Way Test Speech Champion will present the best of the best from our Clubs! We will follow the lunch with our Annual Business Meeting to review the 2021-2022 Financial Results and all clubs will select the next District Representative to the RI Council of Legislation.
A break to relax will follow but shortly a by-invitation reception for Rotary Foundation Supporters and a general gathering of fellowship will lead to our Awards Dinner. We have a special District Rotarian that will inspire you as we move into our Club and Rotarian recognitions.
Save this weekend for a very special time!
April 29, 2023, in Corpus (the Omni Hotel)!
Thank you, for each and every one of you!

People of Action helps define Rotary for those who don’t know us. We’re professional, community, and civic leaders who connect with each other and who share a unique perspective and passion for taking action to improve the world. Describing and showing ourselves as people of action creates a personal connection to Rotary and emphasizes the impact we make in our communities.
