This is the month of our major focus of the Rotary International Showcase Project since 1985
End Polio Now! - PolioPlus
This is a MUST for all our Clubs to participate in!
Each Club should hold a Rotary Minute every week about Polio Minute. A presentation on the importance of what the Rotary Vigilance has meant recently. The process of protecting Public Health by maintaining annual processes of vaccinations in areas of the world still affected by Polio. During the COVID pandemic, these techniques have prepared our world to respond.
And now we have seen two cases of Polio in the State of New York, and the detection of active Polio virus in the community water system.
Become a Charter Member of the PolioPlus Society
To become a Charter Member of the PolioPlus Society all you have to do is pledge $100 per year every year until Polio is eradicated. You of course could do more!
Make a contribution to PolioPlus!
Every contribution will be matched 2:1 by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, a continued commitment for the next 3 years.
Share a video on PolioPlus with your members and the community. Ask your local news outlets to publish or broadcast this video or an article dealing with Polio and the similarities to our recent pandemic and the Polio outbreak that threatens now even the United States!

People of Action helps define Rotary for those who don’t know us. We’re professional, community, and civic leaders who connect with each other and who share a unique perspective and passion for taking action to improve the world. Describing and showing ourselves as people of action creates a personal connection to Rotary and emphasizes the impact we make in our communities.
