This year 2021 is nearly gone, and we have reached the midpoint of our Rotary year. This is the time to reflect on our accomplishments according to our goals we set for ourselves, and the progress we made towards them.
I am happy to report that I have completed many of my District club visitations with only three clubs remaining. It was an aggressive plan, but one I genuinely enjoyed doing.
Our membership grew by sixty-one new members, and we are now 1,754 strong Rotarians and growing.
We had the most successful Polio Plus District Events supporting the END POLIO NOW campaign and we raised $20,000.00 Dollars with the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation match 2:1 will bring our total fundraising dollars to $60,000.00.
Our district grew by one club with the support of the Corpus Christi Evening Club sponsoring the Padre Island Satellite Rotary Club.
These are a few of our achievements through the first half our Rotary year. We have so much more to do, and I am confident we will achieve our District Action Plan goals.
I am a great believer in the importance of setting goals that are challenging, but realistic. A worthwhile goal should be within your reach but still require you to stretch your goal. Step outside your comfort zone to innovative ideas that helps you grow and do more. Remember, if it makes you feel uncomfortable, then you are growing.
November
As we approach December, let us remember to always serve others who have no hope or peace of where their next meal will come from. Remember to serve those who have no shoes to attend school, no backpacks fill with school supplies and snacks.
Thanksgiving is a time of reflection on giving thanks for our prosperity, health, happiness and family and friends. Let us examine our clubs’ compassion and make a meaningful impact changing lives.
As we share the Gift to Rotary to others, we should be reminded how humble we should all be in this world we live in. Our challenge will be delivering value for the people we serve by becoming more focus with our compassion, the Power of One.
Together we can be Leaders of Change and Peace through Rotary is that pathway.
Merry Christmas may your holidays be blessed with Love and happiness. Wishing you a prosperous new year 2022.

People of Action helps define Rotary for those who don’t know us. We’re professional, community, and civic leaders who connect with each other and who share a unique perspective and passion for taking action to improve the world. Describing and showing ourselves as people of action creates a personal connection to Rotary and emphasizes the impact we make in our communities.
