DISTRICT 5930 FOUNDATION RECOGNITION
Step 1 – The Club submits the name of its Club Foundation Chair in MyRotary.org and Clubrunner.
Step 2 – The Club submits its Club Foundation goals in Rotary Club Central for this current year, 2025-2026, and for the following two years.
Step 3 – The Club establishes a monthly goal that supports the Club in reaching its annual Foundation goals.
Step 4 – The Club participates in a monthly progress review with the Hub leadership and select District representatives. Lt. Governor Andy Zamarripa, Chair of the District Data Committee, will prepare and distribute monthly reports for each club on Foundation giving and available Paul Harris points.
Step 5 - The Club Foundation Chair will complete the Rotary Foundation Basics course through the Learning Center.
Step 6– Each member of the Club has opened a MyRotary.org account.
Step 7 – Each member of the Club has contributed at least $25 to the Annual Fund and $10 to the Polio Fund. (We invite all Rotarians to consider The Rotary Foundation as their preferred Foundation for giving.)
Step 8 – The Club reaches its Foundation contribution goal or surpasses it.
Step 9 – The Club implements a District Grant or participates in another Club’s District Grant.
Step 10 – The Club submits a Global Grant application or participates in another Club’s Global Grant project.
Step 11 – The Club understands about the Paul Harris points, which can be used to acquire a Paul Harris Award for deserving club members or community members. The Club presents at least one Paul Harris Award at the Hub Celebration in Spring 2026.
Step 12 – Clubs report to their Hubs their monthly investment in service projects and grant activities. This will help to demonstrate the economic impact of our volunteer service in our community. Examples include scholarships, four-way test speech contest prizes, sending students to RYLA, school backpack projects, Thanksgiving dinner meals, building ramps, investing in parks, etc..
Step 13 – The Club participates in, and/or supports with a donation, the District Polio MotoRide event on Saturday, October 18, 2025. (The motorcycle riders, led by Rotarian Mike Dickerson, will depart from Laredo and travel through our district promoting the Eradication of Polio campaign and accept donations to the Polio Fund. Please support them when they drive through your community.)
Step 14 – Rotarians in the Club participate in a Disaster Response service project if a disaster is declared in our District.
