Welcome to the 2018-19 Rotary year!

Congratulations on beginning your year as a club leader! You are stepping in to one of the most important roles in Rotary because the work of Rotary and our Rotary Foundation really takes place within your clubs. Throughout your year as a club leader, I hope you use the resources below to educate members about the Foundation and inspire them with the great work our Foundation does.

Use videos to inspire and educate

Videos that highlight club projects being done around the world are an easy and meaningful way to show your members the impact of our Foundation. Use Rotary videos to kick-off presentations, during club meetings, or in email communications.

Connect new members to TRF

The Rotary Foundation empowers members to do good both locally and globally. Participating in the Foundation is one way that new members can serve their community. But many new members may not know what the Foundation is or how it partners with clubs to do good in the world. Use this list of go-to resources to communicate the mission of The Foundation to your newer members.

Utilize reports to track progress

Now is the perfect time to sign in to Rotary.org and favorite a few reports that will help you manage Foundation giving in your club. Reports like the Club Fundraising Analysis, Paul Harris Fellowship and Benefactor Report, and Club Recognition Summary help you track members giving and recognition activity throughout the year.

Tell Foundation stories regularly

Stories help connect your members' hearts to the Foundation, assure donors that their money is being spent wisely, and inspire new or continued giving. Taking the time to share stories about your club's Foundation-funded projects or why you believe in supporting the Foundation will help raise awareness of Rotary's work locally and globally. If you're unsure where to begin, check out our story resources for some inspiration.

Use your "human" resources

Did you know you have access to a team of district level volunteers who are a resource for all Rotary Foundation topics? Your district Rotary Foundation committee chairs and their team are ready to assist with your Foundation questions, give presentations to your club, and help you educate members about our Foundation.

Additionally, the Rotary Support Center (rotarysupportcenter@rotary.org) or 1-866-9ROTARY are you one-stop shop for all basic Foundation and Rotary related questions, especially points transfers and reports.
