Get a Paul Harris recognition supporting our Rotary Foundation
 
The District 5930 Rotary Foundation Team announces the Annual Fund - Paul Harris Fellow Matching Points Initiative to help support The Rotary Foundation (TRF), while also assisting Rotarians to become Paul Harris Fellows and eventually Paul Harris Fellows +8. This initiative will run from February 1 - April 30, 2022. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Support for the Annual Fund is extremely important, since half of the contributions that Rotarians make to this fund are returned to our district after being invested for four years by TRF.  The District Rotary Foundation Team uses to help us improve peoples' lives both within our communities and beyond.  The other half of the contributions to the Annual Fund are used by TRF to support global initiatives designed to help communities in need. 
 
Rotarians who are Paul Harris Fellows+8, or who have an abundance of excess Foundation Recognition points, are asked to consider donating some of these points to a district pool.  Clubs may also donate some of their Foundation Recognition points to this district pool. Please contact PDG Ellison Crider (ellisoncrider@gmail.com) to arrange for your donations. 
 
Rotarians who are not Paul Harris Fellows, or who have not yet become Paul Harris Fellows +8, are eligible to participate in this project by first contacting PDG Crider to inform him of their interest in this initiative. Subsequently, he will inform the Rotarian of the number of points that s/he needs to become a Paul Harris Fellow or some level of Paul Harris Fellow above. At this point, a determination can be made of the amount of the donation (from $250 to $500) that the Rotarian can make to The Rotary Foundation's Annual Fund and the matching number of Foundation Recognition Points that can be contributed to Rotarian's account at TRF from the district pool to help this Rotarian achieve his/her Paul Harris Fellow goal.  Please read the attached document for additional and more specific information regarding this important initiative.   
 
 
 
 
 
How to make the process? 
 
Greetings fellow Rotarians:
 After announcing the District Annual Fund – Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) Matching Points Program a few days ago, we have received several requests for the following information:
  • How to determine the number of PHF Recognition points a Rotarian has accumulated.
  • How to determine the number of PHF Recognition a Rotarian needs to either become a PHF or to reach the next level of PHF+.
  • How to submit a monetary contribution to the Annual Fund that will subsequently be matched by District 5930 with a comparable number of Foundation Recognition points.
 
The information below provides responses to these questions.
1.To begin the process, you need to have a www.my.rotary.org account. If you need to establish an account or need assistance, go to https://my-cms.rotary.org/en/document/how-create-my-rotary-account.  Ensure that the email address you use to establish this account is the same one you have for Clubrunner. If you have questions, you can contact DeeDee Arismendez (deedeerotary@gmail.com).                                                 
2. Once you are at www.my.rotary.org, click on The Rotary Foundation from the top menu.                                      
3. Scroll down and click on Foundation Reports.                                                                      
4. On this screen, click on Individual Reports.                                                                                   
5. You are now at Contribution & Recognition.                                                                               
6. Click on View Report.                                                                                              
 7. Next, click on Donor History Report
 
On the top Right side of the report, a line item reads PHF Recognition Amount. The number, if present, indicates the amount of PHF recognition you have accumulated thus far.
 
 For example, if it reads 2,500, this means you are a PHF+1. Therefore, you need $500 to reach $3,000 to earn your your next PHF level (PHF +2).
 
To earn the $500.00 through the District Annual Fund – Paul Harris Fellow Matching Points Program, you will need to contribute $250.00 to the Annual Fund.
 
Once you receive verification from The Rotary Foundation that your contribution has been credited to your account, email PDG Ellison Crider at ellisoncrider@gmail.com and let him know the address where your PHF certificate and pin should be mailed. He will then transfer 250 Paul Harris Fellow Recognition points from our District pool into your account. This process will allow you to become a PHF+2.

Instructions to help you submit your Annual Fund – SHARE contribution to The Rotary Foundation,
 
1.Sign into your account at www.my.rotary.org account.                                                                        
2. Click on The Rotary Foundation.                                                                                          
3. Scroll down and click on Foundation Reports.                                                                      
4. On this screen, click on Individual Reports.                                                                                   
5. You are now at Contribution & Recognition.
 
You have two options to donate:  Give Online or Mail Your Contribution.
 
Click on Give Online if you wish to do so.  Then, click on Annual Fund-SHARE and follow the instructions.
 
Click on Mail Your Contribution if you wish to exercise this option.  Then, select either Generate Prepopulated Form or Generate Blank Form.
 
Both forms allow you to make your contribution by check, wire transfer, or credit card.
Simply complete, date, sign, and mail the form to the address provided for The Rotary Foundation.
